What we collect and why
- Booking and contact forms: name, email, phone, dates, delivery point, vehicle and your message. We need them to reply and prepare the rental (performance of a contract or steps before it).
- Rental agreement: identity and licence details, as Greek law requires for renting a vehicle (legal obligation).
- Visitor statistics: anonymous usage data through Google Analytics, only if you accept it in the cookie notice (consent).
- Touristas AI: the questions you type into the assistant are sent to the AI provider that powers it in order to generate an answer. Please do not type personal data into the chat.
Who receives the data
The email delivery service that forwards the forms to us, Google (Analytics after consent, and the embedded Google Maps, which load from Google's servers when displayed) and the provider of the AI assistant. We do not sell data and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Booking requests and messages are deleted after the end of the season they relate to, unless we must keep them for tax or legal reasons. Rental agreements are kept for as long as tax law requires.
Cookies and storage
The website sets no tracking cookies without your permission. Your choice in the cookie notice is stored locally in your browser (rr_consent_v1) so that we do not ask again.
If you accept statistics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for up to 2 years. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent. Write to rent.runner@yahoo.com. If you believe we have mishandled your data you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
